By the time we got to the start of the Col de Romme it was way too late to try to tackle the whole route we had planned. We had to settle for a short loop that took us up Col de Romme and then down the first half of the Col de la Colombiere. Hopefully we'll be able to ride the part that we missed early next week when the Tour goes through.
The Col de Romme was definitely hard, but not nearly as bad as I had thought it would be. I still predict it will be a very decisive climb in this year's Tour.
I'll add a few pictures and videos to this post when I have a little more time.
