July 18th - Stage 3 - Col du Télégraphe and Col du Galibier

It's hard to say which of all the cols is the most famous in the world of cycling, but the Col du Galibier is certainly in the running. The most classic route to tackle this climb starts in Saint-Michel-de-Maurienne and then goes over the Col du Télégraphe before climbing Galibier. Since our apartment is situated right in the middle of this route, we'll start the day heading down to Saint-Michel-de-Maurienne before the real climbing starts.

This might be the hardest day of our trip. The distance is qutie short at only 53 miles, but with over 8,700 feet of climbing, it just might kill me.

Distance: 53 mi
Ascent: 8,711 ft
